Squadron Burgee Heraldry: The graphics of our burgee incorporate the North Star along with the Big Dipper which is symbolic of the State of Alaska. The color scheme represents the state colors. On the burgee, the North Star in the corner signifies the North Star Sail and Power Squadron, the farthest northern Squadron in District 16. The other stars collectively represent the Big Dipper which shines brightly every evening in Alaska. Our burgee is of simple design, much like our state flag but represents our shining commitment to Boating Safety throughout our state.
